Students will read and discuss the story of Medusa. Students will complete a critical reading assignment, which includes finding the main idea, making inferences, using words precisely, identifying author's approach, summarizing, and paraphrasing.. Journal.
Read and discuss "Penelope's Test", the last section of The Odyssey. Students will illustrate scenes from part 2. Journal.
Review the first six poetry terms. Introduce three types of rhyme: internal, end and near. Do a rhyming activity. Read and discuss "Odysseus' Revenge" from Part 2 of The Odyssey. Journal.
